Chamber Choir perform at Portsmouth Cathedral

On Wednesday evening, the Chamber Choir had the privilege of singing choral Evensong at Portsmouth Cathedral. On arrival in Portsmouth, a rehearsal with Mr Rapley, the organist, preceded a much-appreciated retail therapy break at Gunwharf Quays. Following this, the Evensong service was led by Tormead alumna, Canon Harriet Neale-Stevens, and included repertoire from Chilcott and Sumsion. Psalm 39 also featured several excellent solo verses. Overall, a beautiful service that exemplified the choir’s hard work in rehearsals this term. A huge thank you to Mrs Ward and Miss Parry without whom this trip could not have happened.
