It was fantastic to see over 500 of our Senior School athletes take over the Surrey Sports Park for our annual House Sports Day. It was amazing to see the passion, camaraderie and skill level on display across nine sports.

The day opened with a breath-taking showcase of cheerleading and dance which was performed with such energy and expertly choreographed by Miss Buckley and Miss Gamble. This set the day up perfectly for a morning of house competition across hockey, netball, football, rounders, swimming, gymnastics, rowing, cycling and dance. All the competitors can be incredibly proud of their commitment and performance.

Following lunch, the attention turned to the hockey and netball finals, where the houses that had placed in the top two battled it out for the crown. Cheered on by a healthy crowd of students, staff and families, the level of sport on show was outstanding.

After a nail-biting wait for the results, it came down to just two points between 1st and 2nd place. Congratulations to this year’s winners – Livingstone! The overall results can be found below:

1st – Livingstone
2nd – Nightingale
Joint 3rd – Wellington & Nelson

Regardless of the results, this day will always be remembered as a real highlight in our school calendar, bringing our community together and showing true Tormead spirit. Thank you to all our pupils, staff and families for their efforts and support. We are already excited for next year and cannot wait to host much of this event at our brand new Urnfield sports facilities.
